Easter Lake Effect Snow Event
April 5-8, 2007
Northeastern Ohio was hit by an intense Lake Effect event in the days leading up to Easter. The snow began on the evening of the April 4 and continued through Easter Morning, April 8. Nearly 3 feet of snow fell in the heart of the primary snowbelt (Geauga County) with lesser amounts elsewhere.
The snow event seemed even worse because it followed a period of unseasonably warm weather in late March.
